About 827 & D*LOC Walker

827

Welcome to 827 ENT! The intention of this project is to showcase the passion and talent of multiple musicians & artists.

A place where music can be featured, knowledge can be shared, and those who visit leave with a sense of inspiration. From its inception, the vision has always been to become the digital platform for those who enjoy good music and those who are looking to better their careers.
827 ENT founder, D*LOC Walker, was hired in his early teens by Snoop Dogg and is the original drummer for the Snoopadelics. This led to him becoming the Hip Hop Drummer/Percussionist on many of the West Coast classics and Death Row Records hits of the mid to late 1990’s. He is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, music director, Grammy Award winning musician, and an icon in the drumming world.

D*LOC WALKER

At 5, the self-taught drummer played for churches throughout Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles area. Funk, Gospel, and Jazz artists influenced his music, including: Sly of Sly and the Family Stone, The Hawkins, Clyde Stubblefield, Gaylord Birch, Steve Gadd, James Brown, and his mentor and teacher, the incomparable, Joel Smith. His mastery and mature, beyond-his-years style in his early childhood led to his first gig with Miki Howard.
